LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR COMMUNITY SPIRIT AWARD

Nova Scotia Lieutenant Governor’s Community Spirit Award was presented to Berwick and Surrounding Areas, by the Honourable Mayann E. Francis, Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia, on September 4th, 2011!

Congratulations to the four communities that are the recipients of the 2011 Lieutenant Governor’s Community Spirit Award! The communities of the Town of Berwick & Surrounding Areas; East River Valley, Pictou County; St. Ann’s Bay/North Shore (Cape Breton); and Woodville, Kings County, were selected from 10 nominations, all of which showed a high degree of community collaboration and strength.

The award, launched in 2007 by Mayann E. Francis, Lieutenant-Governor of Nova Scotia, recognizes up to four communities annually that demonstrate engaged and active citizens across many aspects of community life.
