Proposed Rezoning Lands of the Town of Berwick, Orchard Street

The Town of Berwick has acquired lands generally bounded by Orchard Street and Spartan Avenue, formerly lands of West Point Homes Limited (PIDs 55243836, 55380844, 08131120).  These lands are proposed to be rezoned to enable their use and development for public recreation purposes.

The Town’s Planning Advisory Committee will be holding an information and consultation meeting to discuss the proposed rezoning.

The meeting will provide information about the development of the property as a green space recreational area which would include such entities as a bike skills park, walking trail and more.  Town staff will discuss details about the proposed development including the type of facilities that are planned and the phasing of the development.

The meeting will be held in the Council Chamber, Town Hall, 236 Commercial Street on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 6:30pm.

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR BERWICK ENERGY PARTNERS

3 January, 2017

For all of you who have signed up for Direct Load Control, we regret to announce that we are deferring implementation until later in 2017. Delays in getting Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approval for the Customer Premises Equipment applied extra time pressure, and your Berwick Electric Commission and AMG Energy, the company operating Direct Load Control on your behalf, decided that any excess haste could endanger smooth implementation and trouble free operation.

The semi-annual draws will still be held in June and December 2017 and all Berwick Energy Partners will be eligible. Please stay tuned.

For further information, call AMG Energy at 902.542.5223 or send an e-mail to dlc@amginc.ca The good folks at AMG Energy will be pleased to answer any questions you may have
